Even though it was Halloween yesterday, I didn’t really do anything. I guess its sad in a way, but I am well passed trickle-treating and just couldn’t be bothered to "go out", as it were.

Anyway, eventually on deciding what to do, a couple of my mates decided to go for a walk on Hayling near Sinah Warren and The Kench. Of course, armed with my camera, I got a few shots.

I also took my Dads old Canon Speelite flash. It doesn’t work too well on my Canon 350d, but its quite fun for just using it for its "test" feature, to just flash randomly while the flash is off of the camera. I set it to its weakest setting during this exposure to light up some of the foreground, and I think it worked pretty well.

All I need next is some different coloured covers to begin lighting a bit more creatively. I won’t explain too much at the moment, but hopefully all will be revealed whenever I find the right material for the job.

Along with the same lines as this, I finally brought myself to buy a Canon Speedlite 430ex flash for my camera. I am beginning to use my built-on flash a bit more lately and learning how to improve it, and of course a built-on flash is pretty limited, so roll on the Speedlite. Also bought an Omni Bounce filter for it too, I’ve read only great things about them.

PS: The above was bought on eBay, and they finally decided to un-suspend my account after talking to various people on their Live Help system for over an hour.
