I’m still thawing out after this weekends’ amusements up at Santa Pod for the Easter Thunderball drag racing. We decided to head up to Santa Pod, near Norfolk, on Sunday morning, to camp over on Sunday night until Monday and return on Monday evening. It turned out, however, that we probably picked the worst day to do it since most of the UK north of London was predicted heavy show!

Good fun we thought, right? Perhaps not! We arrived right in the midst of the show and had to set up the tents in what could only be called a blizzard! It was like setting up base camp at 10,000 feet! Well, OK, maybe not quite that bad, but it was cold and difficult to see none-the-less.

Anyway, here’s some of my favorite photos from the two days we stayed.

Another great event, and something which I’ve never truly experienced before. Apart from the freezing weather, I’d definitely do it again, and I’m really thinking about attending the European Drag Racing Championship at Santa Pod later this year.
